Diane Log collects nothing. No account, no server, and no third-party services.

Data Collection
None. No analytics, no crash reporting, no advertising identifiers, and no third-party code. This website sets no cookies. Its only script is one Cloudflare adds to decode the email addresses on these pages.
Data Storage
Recordings, transcripts, summaries, titles, and dates live on your iPhone. Turn on iCloud sync and they also live in your own iCloud account. The audio goes to iCloud Drive, in a folder only Diane Log uses, and everything else to a private database only you can reach. The developer has no access. Once you export or share a file, its destination governs it.
Microphone
Used only while recording, and only with your permission. Audio is written to a file on your device. It is never streamed.
Speech Recognition
Runs on your iPhone using Apple's on-device speech recognition. Language models download once from Apple, then work offline. Recognition never sends your audio anywhere.
On-Device Analysis
Summaries, suggested titles, and answers come from Apple's on-device foundation models. No prompt or response leaves your iPhone. The feature is optional.
Search Indexing
Core Spotlight indexes your transcripts locally. The index never leaves your iPhone.
Data Deletion
Deleting a recording removes its audio and transcript from the iPhone, and from iCloud if sync is on. Settings › Your Data › Reset All Data clears everything on the iPhone, and in iCloud if sync is on. Deleting the app removes what it stored on the iPhone, but not its iCloud copies. Reset All Data before deleting the app removes those too, or delete them later from iCloud storage in the Settings app.
Children
Not directed at children. It collects nothing from anyone, at any age.
